Simon is the founder and president of Music Motivation®, a company he began in 2004 to motivate musicians of all ages to learn more about music theory, improvisation, and composition through Theory Therapy™, Innovative Improvisation™, and Creative Composition™. He created www.musicmotivation.com and www.musicmotivationblog.com as resources for music teachers and music students. He is the author of 9 music books from the Music Motivation® series and presents to MTNA chapters and various music schools, groups, and associations throughout the country doing workshops, music camps, master classes, concerts and firesides to inspire and motivate students and teachers. He is the president of the Davis UMTA (Utah Music Teachers Association) chapter, and the vice president of the Ogden UMTA chapter. He and his wife Suzanne have a darling daughter named Summer.
