- Monday Motivator -
Monday May 30th, 2011

Every Monday there will be a new "Monday Motivator" article written on the Music Motivation® blog.  Every Wednesday there will be a new "Wednesday Words of Wisdom" article written on the blog, and on every Friday, there will be a new "Friday Freebies" article written on the blog (and posted in the Music Motivation® Freebies library:  Music Motivation® FREE PDFs).

Here is the "Monday Motivator" for May 30th, 2011

Each Monday I will post a new "Monday Motivator" on the Music Motivation Blog.  With each "Monday Motivator" I will include a video where I teach music theory, improvisation, or composition ideas for music teachers and music students in a fun, exciting way.  The video for today is titled "The Jazz Song" and features me (Jerald M. Simon) teaching students how to do a simple walking bass pattern (C E G A B flat) with the left hand.  To teach this concept, I filmed myself playing "The Jazz Song" an original composition I wrote from the book "Jazzed about Jazz".  I hope you enjoy this video.  Please feel free to share this video with friends, family, and other music teachers or music students in your area who you feel may benefit from this.  Have fun.  I hope you enjoy this.  Next Monday another "Monday Motivator" video will be placed on the blog.  Let me know how else I can help out.  Thanks.  Jerald

Have a 'motivational Monday'.  It is what you make it, so make it marvelous!
